Laramie Blake, Chinle High School Class of 2010

Laramie really can’t remember when she started weaving, but her mother, Emily, thinks that she was about 12 years old.  She has paid her school expenses with her weaving income and will continue to do that when she goes on to major in business at Diné College this fall.  Laramie likes to weave the Spider Rock style rug, but also enjoys working with other designs and media.  Her Spider Rock sculpture won a prize at the Gallup Inter-tribal Ceremonial!
